About the Doctor
Bruce Carroll, MD graduated from the University of Dallas in 1983 and Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1987. After his residency in Wichita Falls, Texas, he began practicing Family Medicine in St Mary’s in 1990 and has been here ever since. He married his wife Cindy in 1983; they have 3 daughters, 1 son, 9 granddaughters and 3 grandsons..
From 1990 thru 2012, he delivered over 800 babies in St Mary’s. He still enjoys prenatal care and newborn care as part of taking care of all generations of families.
Inside the full spectrum of Family Medicine which rural practice provides, he has special interests in cardiology, sports medicine and lifestyle medicine. Consistent with these professional interests, he is a Level 2 CrossFit trainer and along with his wife founded CrossFit Benedictus in 2013. He still coaches and trains at that Box.
Whenever he’s not in the clinic or in the gym, he enjoys cooking outdoors on his Big Green Egg and he puts his CrossFit strength & conditioning to good use in hiking, biking, backpacking and mountain climbing in the Rocky Mountains.
